How Frame Netting works

Less to settle.Every obligation retained.

A simplified, same-currency example between two eligible group entities. These figures illustrate the calculation, not customer savings.

Start with both obligations.

Entity A owes Entity B USD 1,000,000. Entity B owes Entity A USD 750,000. Both obligations remain part of the record.

Netting eligibility and the accounting treatment depend on your agreements and configuration.

01

Queue, preview, resolve

Accumulate obligations across participating entities, inspect a pending cycle, then resolve it. The sealed result stays connected to the obligations and opening liquidity used in the calculation.

02

Apply your eligibility rules

Use your configured rules to separate obligations that can be netted, must be routed gross or are blocked. Keep deferred obligations visible for a later cycle.

03

Recompute the result

Check net positions, conservation and liquidity feasibility against the committed inputs. Connect the residual settlement instruction to the cycle that produced it.

04

Keep finance’s full record

Retain gross obligations, per-entity journals and period statements for reconciliation and tax reporting. Your team supplies account mappings and determines the legal and tax treatment.

Before we talk

A few useful
answers.

Does Frame settle the residual for us?

Your own execution systems settle the residual. Frame calculates and records the eligible netting workflow and keeps the supporting evidence connected.

Do we lose the gross detail after netting?

No. The underlying obligations are retained so the net result can be reconciled back to its inputs and reviewed alongside supporting accounting and tax records.

Is every obligation eligible for netting?

No. The participants, currencies, agreements, policy and configuration determine what can be included. A calculation does not by itself establish legal enforceability or a particular accounting treatment.

Is Frame Netting available for our treasury team?

Group treasury is in private preview. Bring the entities, currencies and obligations you want to include, and the team will scope the workflow and required integrations with you.
